This is a fun and interactive way for families to enjoy church together. We run messy church every other month, on the second Sunday of the month, from 4-6pm.
This is suitable for children aged between 3 – 12 years old, with parental/carer supervision.
The session starts at 4pm in the hall where there are a number of art, craft and game stations around the room, which are all based on the same bible story. The story changes each time. Example of previous story themes: – Jonah and the Whale, Noah’s Ark and Jacob’s Ladder.
The aim of the session is for children to explore and bring to life the bible story through creative expression and to learn about Jesus through the bible teaching. Children can move around the stations however they like, engaging in the activities which they prefer.
After the session, we have a short, informal service in church for about 30 minutes, where we bring the teaching of the story together. Then we go back into the hall where all the families enjoy a shared meal together, giving a chance to chat to friends, new and old.
This is a free session and all craft and refreshments are provided.
